About the event
Calling all playwrights, actors, directors, and stage technicians! ETC is proud to present the first ever 48-Hour Play Festival in Gisborne!
The festival begins on a Friday at 7:00pm at Evolution Theatre at 75 Disraeli St. Artists are assigned to teams and presented with the super-secret theme! They then have just 46 hours to write, direct, act, and produce one 10-minute play!
On Sunday at 7pm, the original plays are presented on stage before a live audience. The cost for tickets for attendees are just $10 each. Attendees are given a ballot and asked to score the plays, remaining fair and honest. The team with the most votes for the best play wins an exciting award.
